Eric Robinson is the founder of Robinson Intellectual Property Law Office, has over 20 years of experience in patent prosecution and a technical background in electrical engineering.  Eric has prosecuted over 4000 patents during his career, averaging over 400 patents annually since 2010.

Mr. Robinson’s credentials include extensive knowledge of electronics, computer systems, networking, telecommunications, and semiconductor technologies. Mr. Robinson’s practice involves all areas of intellectual property law, with particular emphasis in electrical, computer and telecommunications related inventions, patent validity and infringement counseling, patent licensing, and in counseling emerging and mature companies in establishing, enforcing, and defending their intellectual property rights. Mr. Robinson is also an inventor, having been awarded U.S. Patents 5,761,621 and 5,854,985 directed to wireless telecommunications technology.

Mr. Robinson graduated summa cum laude (top 5% of his class) from The American University, Washington College of Law in 1993. During law school, Mr. Robinson received the Highest Grade Award in Patent Law and also the Highest Grade Award in Advanced Patent and Trademark Law. Mr. Robinson was also a staff member of The Administrative Law Journal of The American University.

Prior to beginning his legal career in 1991, Mr. Robinson was an electrical engineer concentrating in antenna and digital radio transmission systems with the United States Department of Defense, National Security Agency.

Mr. Robinson is admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).  Mr. Robinson is also a member of the American Bar Association (Intellectual Property Section), and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
